4 Oct 2006 — Scientology Volunteer Ministers Asia Goodwill Tour Bringing Relief to Kin Men Seniors

L. Ron Hubbard developed numerous applications of his discoveries for the mental and spiritual aspects of a person's physical difficulties. And as more and more techniques evolved, a new body of technology came into use, called 'Assists.'"

The Scientology Handbook, the textbook used in training Scientology Volunteer Ministers, describes the subject of " Assists" in these terms:

"People sometimes get hurt in the business of living. The human body is subject to disease, injuries and various mishaps of accidental or intentional character."

As these volunteers learned from studying the processes developed by Scientology founder, L. Ron Hubbard, the individual himself has an enormous capacity to influence the body and its well-being.

It goes on to say, "L. Ron Hubbard developed numerous applications of his discoveries for the mental and spiritual aspects of a person's physical difficulties. And as more and more techniques evolved, a new body of technology came into use, called 'Assists.'"

On a recent afternoon, the Scientology Volunteer Ministers Goodwill Tour took a group of young people who have just received training in Scientology Assist technology to provide these procedures to the men and women in a senior citizens home.

Newly trained Scientology Volunteer Ministers join the staff of the Asian Goodwill Tour to provide Scientology assists to a group of senior citizens in Kin Men.

As the Scientology Handbook points out, "Throughout the ages, religions have attempted to relieve man's physical suffering," and it emphasizes a point that these new Volunteer Ministers learned that day: "The individual himself has an enormous capacity to influence the body and its well-being or lack of it."
