The Church of Scientology of Berlin has moved into a new home at the corner of Otto Suhr Allee and Cauer Street in the Charlottenburg district.
The 4000 sqm., 6-story building has undergone extensive remodeling, integrating the interior furnishings with the glass and steel "Bauhaus" style.
The move into larger premises makes it possible to serve our growing membership and better assist the community with our social betterment programs.
Our doors are open to provide information to the public on Scientology.
On the ground floor, the refurbishment includes an extensive walk-through audio-visual presentation covering our beliefs and practices and our activities in Berlin and around the globe.
Along with easy to understand descriptions of Scientology principles and information on the life and accomplishments of L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of the Scientology religion, the displays also cover the highly successful church sponsored international programs that combat drug abuse, illiteracy, criminality, immorality and human rights violations. With our new Church, these programs will be made even more accessible to assist in creating a better community in Charlottenburg and across the City of Berlin.
The primary use of the building is for Scientologists to participate in our religion, which provides a carefully delineated, step-by-step route to spiritual freedom. Thus there are special counseling rooms available for ministers and parishioners to progress on this path.
The broad scope of Scientology is contained in more than 35 million written and recorded words of L. Ron Hubbard. The church presents these works through numerous courses, ranging from the introductory – teaching fundamental principles applicable to day-to-day living – to the full study of the religion's theology. For this reason there are many course rooms and an extensive library.
Our new Church in Berlin is a reflection of the international growth of the Scientology religion – now with more than 7000 churches, missions and groups across 163 nations.
To accommodate this expansion we have been engaged in an international program to acquire new Church buildings in major cities around the world: recently in Madrid, Copenhagen, New York, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Dallas, Johannesburg and Melbourne. Just two months ago we held the grand opening of the new Church of Scientology in the heart of London.
The formal ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony for our new Church is scheduled for the 13th of January, and will be attended by Scientologists from around the world and dignitaries from the City of Berlin and throughout Europe.
