When, Mr. Waghmare, one of the top trainers of the Maharashtra State Fire Training Centre, completed the Scientology Disaster Relief Training this month he realized how much this technology can help all the men and women who work to protect the lives and property of the people in the state.

Maharashtra, with its 96 million inhabitants, is the financial and commercial capital of India and its capital, Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay) is the largest city in India and third largest in the world. Its civil servants have to be efficient and effective to cope with demands.
Having heard of the Volunteer Minister Disaster Relief Course and its potential, Mr. Waghmare decided to participate in the pilot training program himself.
The Scientology Volunteer Ministers India Goodwill Tour delivered the training, consisting of study and drills in the practical application of several chapters of the Scientology Handbook to a group of junior officers who are getting ready to assume positions in fire departments throughout the country.
"...this knowledge which I have acquired from the Basics of Organizing by Mr. L. Ron Hubbard will play a significant role in achieving success in my career," said one of the graduates.
"Really it's amazing to be a part of it....I have gained concentration and confidence in myself," said another.
And Mr. Waghmare agreed with their assessment of the value of this course. "I am confident and able to use this technology effectively in my life and my job," he said. He recognizing that the technology will help fire fighters by "making them capable of handling any situation effectively."
