17 Feb 2007 — Scientology Disaster Relief Team in Jakarta, Indonesia
 
The Scientology Disaster Relief Team, which spent several months in Yogyakarta helping local residents recover from the 6.2 magnitude earthquake last summer, is looking for volunteers to augment the team helping victims of flooding in Jakarta Indonesia, where an estimated 450,000 fled their homes after the worst flood in years left 75 dead earlier this month.

In the wake of the flooding, hospitals anticipate a dramatic increase in the number of patients, due to expected disease in the flood areas.

The Church of Scientology of Perth and theChurch of Scientology of Sydney have put out a call to trained volunteer ministers to commit to help handle this emergency. Training on disaster relief courses based on the Scientology Handbook

The Scientology Disaster Relief Team is funded entirely by donations. Anyone wishing to the join the team will be trained.
