15 Mar 2007 — Newly Formed National Disaster Response Force of India Introduced to Scientology Disaster Relief Techniques

A new disaster response force is being formed in India, and a group of trainees, who will be among those responsible for flood management, relief and rehabilitation, took part in a training session to learn about Scientology disaster response techniques.

The newly formed National Disaster Response Force of India is responsible for relief and rehabilitation in times of disaster.

One thing most relief workers find particularly hard to deal with is the emotional reactions of disaster victims. Even in areas where people's lives are imperiled by immediate physical danger, the hysteria, panic, hostility and despair of people who have lost loved ones, homes or possessions can make it almost impossible to safeguard those in need of help.

Proven effective in such disasters as the World Trade Center terrorist attacks, the 2004 tsunami, the Pakistan earthquake in 2005 and the Indonesian earthquake in 2006, Scientology assist techniques have been adopted by relief organizations all over the world.

Through training on Scientology disaster relief techniques they are learning how to help victims of disaster recover from trauma.

Scientology assists are procedures developed by L. Ron Hubbard, founder of the Scientology religion. They are enormously effective in times of disaster as they address the emotional and spiritual side of the trauma, helping people quickly recover from the immediate effects of stress or shock.
