25 Jun 2008 — In Celebration of 15 Years of Drug-Free Service
 
The Drug-Free Marshals program has been helping children decide to live drug-free lives for the past 15 years.
Clearwater, Fl - The Foundation for a Drug-Free World, the Mt. Carmel Community Development Corporation of Clearwater and the North Greenwood Community Coalition recently marshaled hundreds of children from across the Clearwater area at the North Greenwood Aquatic and Recreation Center to celebrate 15 years of service provided by the Drug-Free Marshals.

Isis Hughes was ten years old when the Drug Free Marshals campaign was launched in 1993. Now a teacher at Delphi Academy in Clearwater, Ms. Hughes said, "I love helping children and know how important it is to teach children the truth about drugs to help them remain drug-free." Others recognized included 16-year-old Clearwater Academy student and Youth for a Drug-Free Florida member Abby Winteregg, 16-year-old Washburn Academy student and Youth for a Drug-Free Florida member Felicia Figueroa, and 17-year-old Clearwater Academy student and Youth for a Drug-Free Florida member David Suggs.

Jai Hinson, founder of the Life Force Cultural Arts Academy, The North Greenwood Neighborhood Patrol of the Clearwater Police Department, the North Greenwood Community Coalition and the Drug Demand Reduction Office of the Florida National Guard received awards as well.
